Tomasz Koclęga

Koclęga studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and graduated in 1993.
He is teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He also taught in foreign
universities in Finland, United States and the Czech Republic.
The creations of Tomasz Koclęga have always been centered on human nature, with its
desires, emotions and dreams. This fascination delimits the domain of its
creative activities, which express the most often with a figurative sculpture.
His refined sense of form allows spectators to explore and discover the truth
on the man. The emotional and the intellectual arecondensed into

the deformed human body of which silent gestures become an alphabet to express
universal values. Koclęga presented his works at many exhibitions in the public space, in countries like:
the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Czech Republic, France, Russia,

Belgium,  Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Finland, Slovakia, and many Polish cities.
His sculptures are permanently located in the United States, India, Lithuania, in the Czech Republic and Poland.
His biggest, monumental work, casted in bronze, is sculpture „Inner Balance”.

The giant work is permamently placed in New Delhi, India.
